An opportunity has arisen to join the Rotherham Hearing Impairment Team as an inclusion support worker based at Bramley Grange Primary School. We are looking for a person with passion and commitment to make a difference to children's lives.

Rotherham Hearing Impairment Team

are looking to appoint a dedicated, professional and enthusiastic Inclusion Support Worker to join our experienced and well-established committed team.

We are a specialist team of education professionals who support Children and Young people from 0-25 years across the Rotherham Borough within the home, pre-school, school, resource base and college settings, supporting the educational, social and emotional needs of Deaf/HI children and young people. This post will initially be based in Bramley Grange Primary School.

The Role:



As an Inclusion Support Worker, you will be instrumental in:

Supporting the learning, social and emotional development, and access to the curriculum for Deaf learners. Providing sign language interpretation of all teacher input to Deaf pupils. Supporting pupils' understanding of assemblies and other whole-school events by providing sign language interpretation. Ensuring that audiological equipment is checked, fully functional and used appropriately. Having a positive attitude toward Deaf culture and inclusion.


A minimum of Level 1 British Sign Language (BSL) proficiency is required, with a commitment to achieving Level 2.

The HI Team endeavour to promote independence in all our young people and we are looking for a practitioner who can facilitate this.
