This role forms part of our Sport England Movement Fund programme delivering inclusive sport and physical activity.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Sessional Inclusive Martial Arts Instructor to plan and deliver inclusive martial arts sessions for disabled and vulnerable children, young people and adults. Sessions will be adapted to suit a wide range of abilities and focus on movement, confidence, emotional wellbeing, and fun in a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver 2 x 60-minute inclusive martial arts sessions per week Adapt martial arts techniques for accessibility and inclusion Create a safe, supportive, and welcoming session environment Encourage confidence, engagement and progression Follow safeguarding, health & safety and equality policies Maintain basic session records (attendance and engagement)

Requirements

Qualification or equivalent experience in a recognised martial art (e.g. Karate, Taekwondo, Judo, Kickboxing) Experience delivering group sessions Experience working with disabled people Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to inclusion and equality

Desirable:

Coaching or teaching experience Safeguarding or First Aid training (or willingness to complete)
