Job Description

Inclusive Youth Provision is a youth project for 11 to 25 year olds with additional learning needs that runs during the school holidays. The provision aims to provide the members with the opportunity to take part in activities such as cooking, sports, arts, music and trips out with an emphasis on the members voices and opinions informing the activities.

Core duties:



? Giving instruction to IYP youth support workers and volunteers;

? Organising trips out with the IYP youth support workers and youth members and completing the documentation for these trips;

? Managing the petty cash for the day's activities;

? Ensure the day to day running of the provision is of a high standard;

? Completing planning, session debriefs and activity evaluations;

? Recording any Safeguarding concerns;

? Ensuring there are always ongoing activities in the provision, including facilitating activities yourself;

? Dynamically managing the cover of one to one support for youth members and any other unexpected changes;

? Dealing with Customer Enquiries via phone, email and in person;

? Responsibility for security & safety of files and information;

? To work effectively as part of the staff & volunteer team and contribute to pre-brief and debrief sessions;

? To support and offer encouragement to staff so they encourage members take part in trips and activities appropriate to their needs;

? Administrative & other tasks as required by line management;

? To attend staff meetings and training events in the interests of further developing the provision;

? Assist with any other tasks, as requested by your line manager.

Qualification:



Youth Work Level 3 - Desirable

Safeguarding Training - Necessary

First Aid Training - Necessary

Up to date Enhanced DBS Certificate - Necessary

Experience:



Two years' experience of working with young people - Necessary

Experience of delivering arts, sports or life-skills based

activities - Necessary

Experience of managing a team - Necessary

Experience of dealing with members of the public - Necessary

Skills:



Ability to manage their time and workload effectively - Necessary

Ability to communicate effectively with staff and

volunteers - Necessary

Ability to manage a staff team, whilst handing out

instructions - Necessary

Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Necessary

Willingness to take on additional training - Necessary

Ability to communicate effectively with other teams and

organisations - Necessary

Ability to work within policies and procedures - Necessary

Pay: 14.81 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
