Barnes Logistics are an equal opportunity employer with multiple depots across the UK. With a fleet of over 90 vehicles and 120+ employees, we are one of the UK's leading providers of logistical support and warehousing.

Due to increased demand and expansion, we have one new vacancy for an HGV Class 1 Driver (with nights out) at our Wardle Depot in Nantwich. The role is a long-term and secure contract.

HGV Driver Benefits

51,480.00 - 61,219.60

average annual earning equivalent. 0-4 nights out per week, with 26.20 non-taxable night out pay. Monday to Friday shift pattern. ADR licence preferred, or

provided. Allocated Scania/Volvo with a fridge, microwave and inverter installed. Guaranteed 8 hours pay per day as a minimum.

HGV Driver Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 licence (CE). Minimum of 1 year's experience, driving Class 1 with general haulage and nights out. Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Valid Digital Tachograph.

HGV Driver Responsibilities

A combination of general haulage, ADR and tanker work with nights out (full training and ADR licence provided).

We run a diverse fleet of trailers, including curtain siders, box trailers, tankers, low loaders and flatbeds. Securing loads. Strong time management. Interacting with colleagues and customers in a helpful and professional manner. Use of route navigation apps and knowledge of area to deliver products safely and efficiently. Completion of daily maintenance checks on vehicles and trailers. Professional approach.

Shift Patterns

Monday-Friday shift pattern with nights out. Early morning start times Full time, secure, long-term contract.
