The Incubator Assistant role holder will work across both the Facilities team and Front of House Team to assist with the upkeep and smooth running of our three central Bristol laboratory incubator facilities. This is a hands-on role suiting a proactive, practical individual who is keen to turn their hand to the wide variety of tasks required to maintain the high standards of presentation of the incubators. No scientific knowledge is required.

the position requires a consistent on-site presence and therefore does not lend itself to remote or hybrid working.
Key responsibilities
Supporting the facilities team where required.
Working with the Front of House team to provide reception cover as needed across our three incubators based in Bristol.
Contributing to building and grounds upkeep, for example ensuring the suitable presentation of meeting rooms, breakout spaces and kitchens, and similarly for external spaces requiring lawns to be mown, litter picks to be carried out etc.
Helping prepare spaces for member companies to move into. This will involve some painting, cleaning work, and moving furniture to suit the member companies' requirements.
Conducting routine safety checks and helping with maintenance and minor repairs.
Assisting member companies by receiving and distributing parcels and deliveries.
Helping with laboratory hazardous waste from member companies such as receiving, transporting it to our storage areas and completing the paperwork relating to the transfer (training is provided).
Occasional staffing of our member's bar and assisting with delivering events in our Old Market incubator.
Work flexibly across three sites (which are walking distance from each other) where required.
As an addition to each person's specific job description, staff are required to complete other reasonable duties as needed or required. This may include, but is not restricted to: miscellaneous administrative duties, continual professional development, engaging with members at events, covering reception, completing surveys or exercises such as staff satisfaction, business direction and company improvements.
