We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient utilisation of resources
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
Ensure all food presentation meets aesthetic standards and customer expectations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service and customer satisfaction
Assist in organising catering events or special functions as required
Skills
Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Excellent culinary skills with an eye for detail in food presentation
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
Leadership qualities with effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and management
Experience in menu development, food costing, and inventory control is desirable
Customer-focused approach with good organisational skills and attention to detail
