Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food preparation and production within a restaurant environment. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while managing kitchen operations effectively.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Supervise and lead kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. Plan and execute menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques. Manage food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. Train and mentor junior cooks, enhancing their culinary skills and knowledge. Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Monitor food production costs and implement strategies to optimise efficiency without compromising quality.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment. Passion for food preparation and creativity in menu development. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.
