We are seeking a passionate TANDOOR Chef to join our team at Bells and Peppers. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your creativity and culinary skills will play a vital role in enhancing our menu offerings.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook tandoor breads (naan, roti, kulcha) and signature items such as
chicken tikka
and
seekh kebab
.
Prepare marinades, doughs, and daily mise en place; maintain portion control and presentation standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
Assist in menu planning and development, bringing innovative ideas to the table.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
Person Specification
Proven experience in a dedicated tandoor role (busy kitchen experience advantageous).
Strong knowledge of spice profiles, doughs/fermentation, and live-fire cookery.
Level 2 Food Safety (or willingness to obtain promptly).
Reliable, organised, calm under pressure; clear communication skills.
