We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate
Indian Tandoori Grill Chef
to join our kitchen team at our established restaurant in
Stretford, Manchester
. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who is dedicated to authentic Indian cuisine and takes pride in delivering high-quality dishes.
- Indian Tandoori Grill Chef
As a Tandoori Chef, your primary responsibility will be preparing and cooking a variety of traditional Indian tandoori and grilled dishes, ensuring consistency, quality, and authenticity in every plate served.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of tandoori and grilled Indian dishes including kebabs, tikka, naan breads, and other clay oven specialities.
Operate and maintain the traditional tandoor (clay oven) in accordance with safety and food hygiene standards.
Marinate meats and vegetables with traditional Indian spices and yoghurts.
Monitor food stock and place orders when necessary to ensure fresh ingredients are always available.
Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service during busy hours.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill and preparation areas.
Develop new grill items or specials in line with seasonal menus or customer preferences.
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a Tandoori or Indian Grill Chef in a busy restaurant environment.
Expert knowledge of Indian spices, marinades, and traditional cooking techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of food hygiene, safety, and allergen practices.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 12.21-14.09 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
