As a member of the Indirect Procurement team at Estee Lauder Companies, this position is part of the EUKEM region, you will play a critical role in managing marketing procurement strategies, driving value, innovation, and sustainability across our supplier partnerships. You will lead the way in optimising our marketing procurement needs in particular for the UK&I region, (working closely with Global leads) and fostering relationships with key suppliers, and supporting our commitment to exceptional performance and brand integrity. To provide strategic leadership and oversight of media and marketing procurement activities, delivering innovative and agile solutions that bring measurable value to Estee Lauder Companies. Utilise data and technology to guide decisions and provide transparent, auditable results that support business objectives. Procurement Strategy & Category Planning:
Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with Estee Lauder's global business objectives. Lead sourcing initiatives across media services to drive value, innovation, and efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with finance, legal, marketing, and other cross-functional teams, as well as regional and global stakeholders, to deliver cost savings and optimise media spend. Ensure engagement across European markets, providing regular leadership updates on progress and outcomes.
Vendor Negotiations & Contract Management:
Lead negotiations with media vendors and agencies, securing competitive terms that protect Estee Lauder's interests and brand reputation. Ensure contracts are legally compliant and align with both strategic goals and risk management requirements.
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management:
Cultivate strong supplier relationships, overseeing performance
through KPIs and SLAs. Champion continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with Estee Lauder's category strategy and objectives for media and marketing.
Cash Flow & Financial Management:
Optimise payment terms to improve cash flow and enhance financial flexibility. Work closely with finance teams to ensure accurate budget control, reporting, and spend tracking.
Spend Analysis & Efficiency Optimisation:
Conduct in-depth spend analysis for the media category, providing actionable insights to maximise value and streamline procurement processes. Use data-driven decision-making to enhance category efficiency and impact.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure all procurement activities comply with Estee Lauder's governance standards and regulatory requirements. Work closely with finance, legal, and marketing teams to maintain the highest standards of compliance and risk management.
Procurement Transformation & Best Practices:
Contribute to ongoing transformation projects, promoting best practices within media procurement to drive operational excellence and deliver value. Act as a champion of procurement excellence across the business.
Continuous Improvement & Category Excellence:
Drive excellence in media procurement by executing strategic improvement projects and applying best-in-class processes, including cost modelling, contract management, and supplier development.
Commercial Insight & Foresight:
Generate data-backed insights to inform decision-making and drive innovative solutions. Provide commercial foresight that enhances media procurement's strategic role within Estee Lauder Companies.
Qualifications
------------------
Education:
An undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain, Procurement, Technology, Marketing, or Business Administration.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant Procurement experience, ideally in a corporate branded environment.
Procurement Expertise:
Demonstrated success in managing and leading multi-million-pound procurement activities, with a proven ability to independently plan, manage, and lead complex negotiations.
Category Knowledge:
A solid understanding of the creative production category, or experience within the Marketing category (e.g. Paid Media, Influencers, etc.), would be highly advantageous.
Change Management:
Basic experience in managing change processes within procurement operations.
Interpersonal & Negotiation Skills:
A high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to foster strong, lasting partnerships both internally with key stakeholders and externally with suppliers.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage data effectively from various sources to solve complex problems.
Communication:
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear and effective presentations. Demonstrates diplomacy, active listening, and excellent relationship-building skills. Experience of working in cross geographical teams.
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are essential. Experience with SAP/SRM, SAP/Ariba, and a basic understanding of the P2P process would be an advantage.
