About the Charity:
St. George's Crypt is Christian Charity in the city of Leeds providing shelter and support and working with homeless and vulnerable people, and those living with addiction. Our aim is to provide a safe environment with physical, emotional and religious support for those who suffered abuse, living with addiction or who are homeless.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

Job Purpose:
This role is an integral part of the Fundraising team and contributes directly to the long-term income generation strategy of the charity.
Your job will focus on developing and delivering individual giving campaigns with a special focus on Legacy fundraising to grow sustainable income and deepen supporter engagement. Working effectively as part of a fundraising team to creatively inspire financial support for the Charity. Increase the Charity's profile within the city of Leeds.
Key Job Role Responsibilities and Main Tasks:
INDIVIDUAL GIVING CAMPAIGNS:
Plan deliver and evaluate engaging individual giving campaigns across multiple channels email, social media direct mail etc.
Grow and steward a loyal base of regular givers and one - off donors
Review the Thank you process across all channels of fundraising implementing streamlined processes so all our supporters are thanked by which ever channel they choose to donate.
Develop compelling fundraising content in collaboration with the Marketing team and fundraising team
Manage segmentation and supporter journeys to maximise donor retention and value
Monitor campaign performance and use insights to improve future
BUDGET STEWARDSHIPS:
Contribute to the development of income and expenditure plans for the Fundraising Team, and to monitor and report regularly on individual giving budgets and income forecasts and variances. Additionally, to support the Head of Fundraising to build an competent individual giving and legacy fundraising role.
PROACTIVE/CREATIVITY: Identify new ways to explore individual givers and legacy donator's
LEGACY FUNDRAISING:
Develop and implement a legacy strategy to promote gifts in Wills as a long term giving option.
Build relationships with legacy prospects and pledgers ensuring sensitive and respectful stewardship
DATA MANAGEMENT: Meticulously maintaining accurate records of donor interactions and contributions using the fundraising database (currently Harlequin). Ensuring the highest level of data integrity, confidentiality and accuracy is applied.
Support with Legacy administration and liase with solicitors as required ensuring the utmost accuracy on all paperwork working with current legislation and GDPR.
Stay informed on fundraising best practice and regulations including the fundraising regulator Code of Practice.
COLLABORATION: Collaborate with all internal departments and volunteers ensuring the Charity maximises cross-departmental opportunities for fundraising.
RESEARCH: Utilise database including the review of past fundraisers and events to encourage repeat fundraising. Conduct relevant research.
AD-HOC: The tasks and responsibilities listed above are not exhaustive and maybe amended according to the needs of the Charity. Employees are expected to work flexibly in responding to external and internal initiatives to support the needs of the Charity. There will be a requirement to work occasional weekends and evenings, including bank holidays.
Due to the nature of the role and the workplace, the post holder must be over 18 years of age.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Understanding of legacy fundraising and experience in creating and supporting legacy campaigns.
Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills
Self-motivated with the ability to self-start
Professional and accountable approach to all areas of your work
Knowledge of Office 365 and SharePoint
Capable of demonstrating a resilient attitude in a high stamina role
Empathy and tact when communicating about sensitive issues such as homelessness and legacy giving.
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Own transport with business insurance
Experience of using a Fundraising Database
Understanding of GDPR
