Hours of work: 19 hours Monday - Friday as an Individual Needs Assistant, 2.5 hours (12pm-12.30pm) Monday-Friday as a Midday Supervisory Assistant
Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 5.85 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

Five Ashes Church of England Primary School is seeking a practitioner to work within our Early Years and KS1 team, mainly supporting a child with additional needs. The successful applicant will also help support another member of the support staff to cover the class teacher's preparation and planning time.  
Five Ashes CEP currently has 53 children on roll. We are one of four schools within The Weald Federation, which was formed in 2019. We have a strong caring community and were graded 'Good' by OFSTED in 2025 in leadership and management, quality of education, behaviour and management and personal development.  
We are looking for a practitioner who is:-
Experienced in working with pupils in primary education
Understanding and has a commitment to inclusion
Familiar with the EYFS and KS1 curriculum
Positive, calm, resilient and pro-active
Committed to a Therapeutic Thinking Approach to behaviour management to ensure pupil safety, positive self esteem and access to learning opportunities
Able to work well both independently and within a supportive team
Highly motivated, flexible and creative
Able to foster and maintain positive, professional relationships with pupils,
colleagues and parents
Reflective and committed to ongoing professional development
Able to maintain efficient record keeping systems
