Contract Manager/Shift Leader

Working Hours:



This position will commence on a

casual basis

during

probationary period

. During this time, you can expect an average of

30 to 40 hours per week

, typically distributed over

5 to 6 days

, with occasional

weekend and bank holiday shifts

as required. Working hours may vary depending on operational needs.

Following the successful completion of the probationary period, and based on

performance and availability

, candidates may be offered a

full-time or part-time contract

A

valid UK driving licence

is

mandatory

for this role. Possession of a

CSCS card

will be considered an

Role Overview:



The Industrial Cleaning Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of various industrial environments. Working across diverse settings, such as construction sites, factories, healthcare facilities, and specialized manufacturing plants, the Industrial Cleaner ensures that all areas meet stringent hygiene and safety standards.

This role involves performing detailed cleaning tasks, using appropriate equipment and products, and adhering to specific protocols tailored to each site. The Industrial Cleaner collaborates with team members to achieve high-quality results and is responsible for maintaining and reporting on cleaning supplies and equipment.

A strong focus on health and safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision are essential. The Industrial Cleaner must also be adaptable, capable of working in different environments, and committed to upholding the company's reputation for excellence in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:



Operational Duties:



1.Cleaning Tasks - Perform high-quality cleaning across various industrial settings, including:



Builders cleans for post-construction sites.

Factory cleans for manufacturing environments.

FMGC cleans ensuring hygiene standards.

Medical equipment manufacturing factory cleans maintaining sterile conditions.

Healthcare setup cleans adhering to strict health regulations.

Industrial machinery factory cleans ensuring the safety and efficiency of equipment.

2. Adherence to Standards:



Follow specific cleaning protocols and guidelines tailored to each environment. Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment for each type of clean. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including PPE usage.

3. Health and Safety:



Conduct routine health and safety checks of the work area. Report any hazards or incidents to the Operations Team Leader immediately.

4. Other General Duties:



Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Operations Team Leader. Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working order and report any issues. Work closely with other cleaning operatives to ensure thorough coverage and quality. Monitor and report on cleaning supplies and equipment levels. Complete timesheets accurately and report any discrepancies. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve cleaning processes and efficiency.

Person Specification



Essential Skills and Attributes:



NVQ in Cleaning and Support Services (preferred but not essential) Health and Safety certifications (e.g., COSHH, Manual Handling). Previous experience in industrial cleaning is preferred, particularly in settings such as factories, healthcare environments, or construction sites. Understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to industrial cleaning. Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Creative thinking to address challenging cleaning tasks. Flexibility to work across different industrial settings and adjust to varying cleaning needs and schedules. Ability to accommodate different work schedules, including early mornings, late evenings, and split shifts, depending on the operational demands of the site. Open to ongoing training and development opportunities. Maintains a professional demeanour at all times, respecting client property and privacy. Competence in using a range of cleaning equipment and machinery, such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and vacuums. Supportive and cooperative in a team environment. Effectively manages time to complete tasks within allocated schedules. Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and working in various environments for extended periods.
