Job Description

This is a varied and interesting role within a medium-sized, Cardiff based business that is proud to be part of the Senseco Group, that has been operating in the Automation, Fire & Security industry for over 30 years.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Automation Engineer/Manager to become our new Industrial Door Division Manager, working alongside our Automation Divisional Manager in the day-to-day management of the department.

Job Summary



40 hours per week | 8:30am - 5:00pm Reporting to the Operations Manager Responsible for growing and running the Industrial Door Division of the business, working closely with the Automation Divisional Manager Developing new and existing customer relationships Working closely with the operations and helpdesk teams, responsible for delivering multiple projects and works from quotation stage through to completion

To include:



Liaising with customers/contractors throughout the whole process Carrying out surveys Estimating and producing quotes (within the 5-day KPI) Ordering materials Producing project documentation (e.g., RAMS, O&M's, Technical Files) Carrying out quality audits This role is predominantly office-based, with occasional travel to customer or prospective customer sites for meetings, surveys, and project monitoring Working to financial targets and KPIs set by the company's Managing Director Supervising the automation team Supporting the engineering team with technical queries

Required Education, Skills & Qualifications



Knowledge of the Industrial Door industry, products, legislation, and standards (essential) Knowledge in any of the following areas is highly desirable: Automatic Doors Industrial Doors Speed Lanes Gates Barriers Bollards 5+ years of engineering experience (highly desirable) Experience in winning new business/converting quotes with a proven track record (desirable) Relevant accreditations (e.g., ADSA, DHF) - desirable Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy Ability to manage several projects at once Self-motivated, with excellent organisational skills and ability to manage workload, relationships, and sales pipeline KPI and target-driven Excellent written and verbal communication skills Confident in communicating at all levels Full & clean UK driving licence Successful candidate must pass full security vetting clearance and have no criminal history
