This is a hands-on position requiring a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, panel building, and OEM machinery. The ideal candidate will be reliable, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a close team.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out electrical installations for OEM machinery, conveyor systems, and industrial equipment
Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on both new and existing systems
Support bespoke machinery builds and site-based installations
Interpret and work from industrial electrical schematics
Build and wire electrical control panels to specification
Ensure all work is compliant with relevant health & safety standards
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment
Work both at our Tredegar workshop and on customer sites across the UK
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience with:
3-phase system installation and distribution
Motor control wiring and VSD fault finding
Control and safety systems installation and diagnostics
Cable containment systems and termination
Panel building and layout understanding
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
Pneumatic control systems (installation and fault finding)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Able to work under pressure and manage own workload
Desirable Skills
Ability to fault find on PLCs using software tools
Basic mechanical understanding for assisting during breakdowns
Qualifications Required
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
EAL Level 3 or equivalent
AM2 Assessment
BS7671 18th Edition
Wiring Regulations (required)
