An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Pipework Systems Division at Chem Resist.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven individual to join our team of Mechanical & Pipework Fitters.
The role involves a varied amount of Site Work Installations around the Country, installing our Storage Vessels & Process Plant Systems, which are manufactured at our site in Dewsbury and providing our clients with high quality Pipework Installations, using Thermoplastic Pipework Technology. Some shop fabrication will be involved from time to time, working to Engineering & Isometric Drawings, with training provided to develop Extrusion Welding Techniques.
The role is customer facing and as such you are expected to have a great level of communication and professionalism, always wanting to go the extra mile for our clients. You will work alongside our Site Teams, who will provide on the job training within our specialisms.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes;
- A natural problem solver
- A quick thinker and be able to react to challenging situations under pressure
- Be willing to work long hours, as travel to and from site is the norm, as well as overnight stays. With this, you will earn an attractive overtime rate
- A Minimum of 3 years' experience in Pipe Fitting on site, ideally in Thermoplastic materials (Polypropylene & Polyethylene), but this is not essential
- Experience with Plumbing works (this would be an advantage)
- Flexibility with working hours, as early starts and long days & working away from home are the norm
- Experience in good Health & Safety practise (specific site cards, such as CSCS, Passport to Safety, CITB, IPAF, PASMA, Confined Space would be an advantage)
- A full clean driving Licence
Flexibility is key in this role. The Pipework Systems department can be reactive and we pride ourselves on being able to provide our clients with a fast and efficient service, when required. Everyday is different.

Rates & Benefits
Starting rate depending on experience, based on 40 hours per week.
Attractive overtime rates. The job attracts regular overtime.
