As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for an Industrial Placement Student to join our team at Cowick, East Yorkshire for 12 months from July/August/September 2025. The successful candidate will work on research and development projects in our Pharma Applications group.



You will be responsible for the investigation of pharmaceutical grade excipients for use in human and veterinary drug applications. The role may also involve the handling of active pharmaceutical ingredients. The project work carried out during the placement will be of sufficient academic complexity to meet the requirements of a university industrial placement degree course.

You should have good laboratory skills and be able to communicate effectively both in reports and verbally. You will need to be a self-motivated individual with the ability to manage and plan your own workload. Team work, attention to detail and good problem analysis skill are essential for this role. You will have an A Level in Chemistry and be working toward a 2.1 in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Pharmacy/Biology or related degree. Previous work experience within the chemical industry is desirable but not

What You'll Be Doing:

Designing and conducting experimental pharmaceutical projects applying technical knowledge to formulate with Croda's new and existing products Majority of the time will be spent on practical laboratory work including formulation, characterisation and analytical development Working with colleagues regionally and/or globally on multiple strategic projects supporting with in-laboratory data production Communicating scientific work through presentations both internally and externally as well as through written reports Support marketing and sales teams with technical data and information
