Job Description

Due to on-going expansion, MTI Tech Ltd are looking for an ambitious Industrial Sales Manager professional to drive new business.

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business & accounts for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills, and must be able to manage their own workload. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

MTI Tech Ltd are a small but highly successful organisation in deploying communication and safety systems in mines, tunnels, and infrastructure in the UK.

Predominantly MTI Tech Ltd supply radio and communication systems in mines and tunnels, with the secondary products being the safety systems. Through some exciting distribution and partner relationships, we have an opportunity to grow the business in the UK through gas detection & environmental monitoring, collision avoidance technology, and other safety technologies.

The role would suit someone who can understand the safety system technology quickly and also discover opportunities by reaching out to prospective clients via telephone / email / tender processes.

The role would also include administrative tasks to support the radio and communication systems side of the business, including helping with quotations, deliveries, accreditations online, and general enquiries.

Ideal Candidate

- Has a keen interest in electronics and developing technologies in sensing and visual recognition systems.

- Can build good relationships with our key partners, including keeping updated on opportunities and new products.

- Would like to be at the start of growing sectors.

- Has a hunger to discover and win business to grow MTI Tech Ltd and also enjoy the commission rewards.

Sales/Marketing Activities

- Understanding the key markets and ensuring we know the route to market. This could be direct, or through a tender process, or through an engineering company.

- Shoot some video content for online (YouTube / MTI Website) demonstrating key product features.

- Build awareness on-line for products and technologies.

- Identify tender portals for registration and to run a weekly/monthly report on any potential projects.

- Cold call targeted organisation key contacts - once some initial research has been conducted - and ask for feedback etc.

- Zoom/Teams online demonstration/sales calls, with the help of Technical Sales Director (if required).

- In person customer visit meetings at customers sites.

- Investigate exhibitions that we could participate in.

Commission Structure

- 5% on all sales that are generated by the Business Manager in the first two years.

- Commission structure to be reviewed after year 2.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-45,000.00 per year
