We are now looking for a Skilled Sewing Machinist to join our friendly and experienced team.

Role Summary

As a Sewing Machinist, you will be responsible for sewing pre-cut fabrics into cushions and upholstery components. Industry experience is essential, and knowledge of overlocking and/or flatbed machines is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Sew pre-cut upholstery fabrics to a high standard of accuracy and finish Work efficiently to meet production deadlines Maintain quality and consistency across all work Collaborate effectively with other team members Follow health and safety procedures at all times

What You'll Need to Succeed

Proven experience within an upholstery or furniture manufacturing environment Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail Ability to work as part of a team and independently Reliability and enthusiasm, with a proactive attitude Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Willingness to work annualised hours with an early 7:00am start A strong focus on quality and continuous improvement

What You Can Expect in Return

Initial trainee rate: 12.21 per hour during the probationary period Post-probation: Move to our PBR (Paid by Results) bonus scheme - average earnings of 12-15 per hour (range 11.08-12.21 base rate) Hours: Average 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday Benefits include: Auto-enrolment pension (after 3 months) Life assurance (death in service benefit) 30 days' holiday (including bank holidays) Discounted furniture (after 6 months)
