An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic Infection Prevention & Control Service team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
The Infection Prevention & Control Service is seeking to appoint a full time Band 6 Infection Prevention & Control Nurse to complete the team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who wishes to expand their knowledge, experience and learn new skills within a dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be expected to have a sound knowledge of clinical nursing, excellent clinical skills and experience working in the field of infection prevention & control. You will need to be able to empower staff and facilitate effective infection prevention & control practice within the organisation.
Main duties of the job
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are vital, with an ability to motivate others, prioritise your workload and have a positive approach due to the challenging work, as no two days are the same.
As the service covers off site facilities, community sites as well as the Stepping Hill site the ability to be able to visit these is an essential part of the role.
You will be required to work to high standards maintaining a high-quality finish to aspects of your work. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trusts policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.
If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of 54.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of 16.
