Job Description

About us...

smol is on a mission to change the face of consumer brands and businesses by bringing super effective, eco-friendly products at value for money prices. We believe everyone should be able to make easy swaps that are better for them, the planet, and their pockets.

Since 2018, smol has taken the household cleaning market by storm. We are already the fastest growing and most positively reviewed brand in the laundry, dishwash, fabric conditioner and surface spray categories and we've got so much more planned.

Having received Series B investment in 2021 and B Corp certification at the end of 2023, our team is focused on combining fast growth with being a force for positive change and impact in all that we do.

In Summary...

We're looking for a creative and strategic Influencer Marketing Manager to develop and build our influencer partnerships and campaigns for our UK business.

You'll be responsible for developing and managing relationships with influencers who align with our brand values and can authentically engage our audiences. Working closely with the Social Media Manager (and wider Creative, Marketing and Growth teams), you'll deliver impactful influencer campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth.

This is a remote position, with occasional travel to the South East for team meetings, events, and possibly content shoots.

What does the role involve?

Developing and executing the influencer marketing strategy in collaboration with the Social Media Manager.

Identifying, recruiting and managing influencers, creators, and brand ambassadors across key social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) across our influencer pyramid (nano, micro, macro, ambassador, celeb)

Negotiating deliverables, fees, and usage rights within agreed budgets.

Overseeing influencer campaigns end-to-end -- from outreach, briefing, and approvals to execution, amplification, and reporting.

Ensuring influencer content meets brand guidelines and complies with ASA and platform regulations.

Working with the Social and Growth teams to integrate influencer content right across our funnel, including organic and paid channels.

Tracking performance metrics, analysing campaign results, and producing insights and recommendations for ongoing optimisation.

Staying informed on social and influencer trends, emerging platforms, and new talent to ensure our approach remains innovative and effective.

Line management of our Influencer Marketing Executive.

You will need/be:

Experience in influencer/creator marketing (brand or agency side)

Solid understanding of the UK influencer and social media landscape and a true love of culture, internet trends and social storytelling

Proven experience managing influencer campaigns from concept to completion, including managing 6-figure budgets

Excellent relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills.

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and measure ROI, including confident analysis of performance within social media.

Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently and pro-actively, albeit within strong guidelines.

Up-to-date knowledge of ASA and influencer disclosure guidelines.

A track record of building measurable, creative influencer campaigns that drive growth and engagement.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in FMCG / homecare / DTC

Existing relationships with UK-based creators or talent agencies.

Understanding of affiliate marketing, paid amplification, or cross-channel integration.

What we offer:

A fantastic opportunity to be part of one of the UK's fastest growing, Series-B funded start-ups.

An amazing culture and mission. A chance to make a difference in our shared future, eliminating or reducing the usage of plastic, water, toxic chemicals, energy and animal testing.

Working with an experienced, passionate team invested in helping you grow professionally.

25 days holiday per year + bank holidays.

A volunteer day to spend on a cause you care about.

45 day nomad working policy

Flexible working from home.

Credits for local co-working hubs when you're out and about or just need a change of scenery.

Healthcare cash plan, provided by Health Shield.

Enhanced parental leave policies (16 weeks' full maternity pay, 6 weeks' full secondary caregiver's pay)

Time off for fertility treatment (whether it's you or your partner having the treatment).

Quarterly wellbeing allowance, provided by Juno.

Employee share option scheme.

The smol print:

Applicants must have current work authorisation, and be based in the UK.

This is a remote role working from home, but you may be required to travel for shoot days or events.

Inclusion at smol:
