About us

UCL is London\'s global university. LCCOS - Library, Culture, Collections and Open Science is acknowledged as an international leader in Open Science and Scholarship.

The LCCOS family comprises 3 museums and allied object collections, 15 libraries, the UCL Student Centre, UCL Press, UCL Research Culture, UCL Engagement, Special Collections facilities, multiple additional learning spaces, the Bloomsbury Theatre, and a substantial off-site storage facility.

We also provide comprehensive services to healthcare staff through our partnerships with 6 NHS Trusts.

LCCOS holds the UK Customer Service Excellence (CSE) Award, The National Archives (TNA) Archives Service Accreditation, and Arts Council England Museum Accreditation. The combined staff in UCL LCCOS totals around 440.

About the role

Information Assistants provide first-line support for enquiries, learning spaces and technology within UCL\'s flagship library building. Working as part of a team, you will work at service points and throughout the learning spaces.

You will offer excellent customer help and support at the point of need and facilitate the learning environment whilst roving within the spaces managed by the library team.

This is an on-campus role. It is not suitable for regular remote working.

About you

5 A*-C GCSE\'s or equivalent, experience of working in a customer\'s service environment, being a collaborative member of the team, contributing to keeping the workplace running smoothly and efficiently.

Experience of working in a library environment, excellent communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
