Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation with the recruitment of a Information Governance Administrator to join their team based in Belfast.
This is a Full-Time Monday - Friday position. 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday 9 - 5.
Salary
xc2xa326,000 - xc2xa327,000 per annum, plus benefits.
Responsibilities:

• Act as first point of contact for subject access and third-party information requests (e.g. police, solicitors).
• Ensure timely and lawful handling of personal data requests under relevant legislation.
• Support with FOI and EIR requests.
• Handle sensitive enquiries including court orders.
• Provide administrative and audit support to the wider department.
• Maintain accurate records and produce performance statistics.
• Ensure proper disposal of confidential waste.
• Assist with training, policy implementation, and team meetings.
• Support internal compliance reviews and data security toolkits.

Essential Criteria

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience communicating with third parties.
• Understanding of data protection laws (e.g. GDPR).

One of the following:
HNC/HND in admin field + 1 year relevant experience (Band 3 or above).
4 GCSEs incl. English & Maths + 2 years admin experience (1 year at Band 3+).
3 years admin experience (1 year at Band 3+).
Desirable Criteria

• Familiarity with FOI Act 2000.
• Understanding of Data Protection Act 2018 & GDPR compliance.
