Job Description


Liverpool John Moores University is offering an experienced information professional the opportunity to join a busy and motivated Data Protection team located within our Legal and Governance Services.

Reporting to the University Data Protection Officer & Head of Records Management, you will play a key role in providing a high quality information governance and compliance service for the University.

We are looking for a proactive and committed individual with the experience and understanding of information governance legislation including (but not limited to) the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018, the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.

You will manage and coordinate responses to Freedom of Information and Data Subject Rights requests. With an excellent attention to detail, you will assist and support the Data Protection team in matters relating to information governance and compliance.

You will work with colleagues across the University. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a pre-requisite for the role, as is a strong organisational ability, to ensure deadlines and standards are consistently met.
