Information Security Operations Analyst
Birmingham \xe2\x80\x93 one day a week in the office
\xc2\xa335,000 base salary

My client is looking for talented Information Security Operations Analyst to join their friendly team based in Birmingham which is their headquarters and biggest office in the UK. You will be expected to be in the office one day a week. My client is a leading full-service UK law firm, providing legal services to businesses, organisations, government departments, families, and people throughout life and in business. The organisation is ambitious and fast expanding company. The Information Security Team is a new, exciting, and growing function responsible for defining the strategic direction and standards for information security across the group.

The ideal candidate will have a degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Information Security or Engineering and 2-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a relevant role. You must also possess good communication skills and have a passion for tech and security.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• To detect and respond to security incidents, including as intrusion attempts, malware infections, and unauthorised access, monitor security systems and tools.
• Investigate security events thoroughly, collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect and analyse the evidence.
• Create and maintain playbooks and processes for handling security incidents to ensure efficient and successful incident management.

Requirements:

• Relevant Certifications such as: Network+, Security+, CISSP, Giac etc
• Solid understanding of compliance frameworks and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, NIST, ISO27001, CE+, CIS) and experience in ensuring compliance.
• Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security.

Qualifications
Technical bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (or equivalent) in a Information Systems, Information Techology, Engineering or similar subject
