Institutional Retirement is the only insurer to have been operating continuously in the UK market from our entrance in 1987 to the present day. Our UK retirement annuity book stands at an estimated 86.1 billion at 31 December 2023.
Across our retail and institutional retirement businesses, we look after more than 1 million customers, around c.700,000 of whom are institutional customers who have had their retirement benefits secured with us.

We're looking for a proactive and collaborative Information Security Technical Analyst to join us in Hove.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working across teams, and is passionate about delivering secure and effective technology solutions.
What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the secure development and implementation of solutions across LGRI
• Translating security control requirements into architecture patterns and solution designs
• Maintaining awareness of emerging security risks and recommending mitigation strategies
• Assessing and analysing vulnerabilities from security scans and collaborating on remediation
• Evaluating third-party supplier security maturity during tenders and bids
• Reviewing system configurations and identifying areas for security improvement
• Scoping penetration tests and documenting risk-based findings
• Contributing to small transformation projects alongside BAU activities

Qualifications
Who we're looking for:

• A strong understanding of general security practices such as encryption, IAM, security information and event management etc. and supporting technologies
• Prior experience in delivering highly technical and innovative security engineering / design products
• Experience with report writing, creating metrics, or risk management would be great
• You'll also be comfortable in working with colleagues at all seniority levels
• Adaptable and creative thinker who can collaborate well in a team environment
