We are looking for an Infrastructure Analyst (Operations and Monitoring) to join our Group Technology team in Leighton Buzzard.Working as part of an operationally focused team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Connells Groups IT Infrastructure. The role involves proactive and reactive monitoring and managing the Connells Technology Infrastructure, Platforms and Applications, providing timely prevention or resolution of incidents, and appropriate escalation for major issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake proactive monitoring and react to escalations from other IT teams. Troubleshoots and remediates, under guidance, infrastructure, and platform issues. Prepares technical documentation and reports on infrastructure operations. Provide technical support and guidance to users, resolving hardware, software, applications and networking. Logs, and completes allocated, Incident or Problem Tickets with appropriate level of detail. Assists with infrastructure capacity planning and resource allocation. Incident resolutions and Change implementation Utilises automated scripts in the resolution or prevention of incidents. Contributes to the identification of areas for automation. Support projects where appropriate

Day to Day technical aspects of the role:

Prioritise and manage Incidents / requests in the Operations Queue to ensure tickets are responded to within SLA and tickets are updated regularly with ongoing progress and detailed closure notes. Direct unresolved incidents requests to an appropriate team member or team Leader Monitor and resolve alerts in SCOM / Site 24/7 Investigate and resolve capacity alerts on servers and Storage platforms. Carryout morning checks and report on the status. Investigate and resolve backup issues reported in Cohesity and Druva. Investigate and resolve security alerts raised by SOC. Contact Connells Group users via Teams / Phone / F2F to help resolve incidents / requests.

Experience and Qualifications required:

Knowledge for IT Infrastructure Principles Previously working in a Helpdesk environment GCSE Maths, English or relevant technical qualifications (e.g. T-levels, NVQs, ITIL etc) Ability to analyse data to identify trends, issues and discover opportunities for improvement. Knowledge of various infrastructure platforms and their applications e.g. servers, storage and networks

Working Patterns:

IT Operations Analysts may be required to work from 7am to carry out morning checks. You may also need to work some weekends or evenings if required. Analysts will be based out of the Lavells office, in Leighton buzzard. You will be required to work from the office minimum 4 days a week.
