Position Overview:



We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer to join our dynamic team as an Infrastructure Delivery Engineer. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in network architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting, combined with excellent communication and project management skills. They are also required to be certified (as a minimum) to CCNA level.

Role Description:



This role will be primarily required for the planning, staging, and installation of network infrastructure components, ensuring their proper configuration and functionality. It will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and maintenance of network solutions. This position reports to the Head of Delivery.

Key Responsibilities




Perform network staging activities, including the assembly, configuration, and testing of network hardware
and software components before deployment.
Collaborate with project managers and network architects to understand project requirements and develop staging plans and installation schedules. Ensure all network equipment and components are properly labelled, tracked, and documented during staging and installation processes. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of network equipment and materials
required for staging and installation.
Conduct pre-installation site surveys to assess network requirements, evaluate existing infrastructure, and identify any potential challenges or constraints. Install and configure network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points,
according to design specifications and industry best practices.
Collaborate with network architects and engineers to implement network designs, including VLANs, IP
addressing, routing protocols, and security configurations.
Perform comprehensive testing and troubleshooting to ensure the proper functioning of the network
infrastructure and resolve any issues that arise during installation.
Provide technical support and guidance to field technicians during installation and ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines. Document all network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps, maintaining accurate records and diagrams for future reference. Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to network staging and
installation.

Required Qualifications



3-5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles. Expertise in networking protocols, routing and switching as a minimum. Strong knowledge of networking hardware, software, and technologies from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, etc. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Industry Certifications (CCNA Minimum)

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience working for or with a VAR, systems integrator or MSP Familiarity with scripting/automation (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus. Experience with network monitoring platforms (e.g., SolarWinds).
