Flowmotion are a software development agency, specialising in JavaScript/SQL stacks, creating client-led apps within proprietary development platforms.

This permanent role is office-based in Clifton Moor, York, Monday to Friday. We have on-site parking, casual dress code, and a relaxed, stress-free atmosphere.

We are offering 50k salary for an experienced (3 years+) Infrastructure Engineer with strong scripting skills.

Our clients are major, government, public sector and well-known large corporate organisations.

This role will require the right candidate to transition from typical day-to-day infrastructure admin, to a role that is closer to a Software Developer, working on projects to implement control and monitoring products within manufacturing processes. Training will be provided for this transition.

Typical responsibilities of the role:

Discover and map client equipment and network topology. Design product implementation for projects. Develop, configure and implement processes for visibility and management of servers and industrial equipment in a widely-geo dispersed environment.
Experience required:

Minimum 3 years experience as Windows or Linux server admin. Minimum 3 years experience with networking technologies. Advanced scripting skills (any language). Good understanding of relational databases. Working within ITSM environment under ITIL framework.
