Infrastructure Migration Engineer - Red Hat 5/6 (Contract outside IR355) - Hybrid

We are seeking a

specialist Infrastructure Migration Engineer

to support the

Physical to Virtual (P2V) migration

of legacy

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 & 6 servers

as part of a wider remediation initiative. This engagement is critical due to internal resource constraints and compatibility limitations with Red Hat 6, requiring expert intervention to ensure a secure and effective transition to supported platforms.

Assess and validate viable P2V strategies for RHEL6 servers Attempt migration of two RHEL6 servers to

Hyper-V

Confirm boot success, driver compatibility, and system integrity post-migration Document a repeatable P2V process and tooling (e.g.

Disk2VHD

Clonezilla

) Deliver remaining server migrations using the approved method Collaborate with internal teams to support access control and data migration Assist with post-migration testing and acceptance Install standard security tooling on all migrated and rebuilt VMs:
