Job Description

Infrastructure Specialist required for a leading healthcare company based in Burton on Trent to be responsible for supporting and maintaining on-premise and cloud Infrastructure to ensure systems and services are highly available, are cost effective, and have sufficient capacity and perform optimally.

The salary on offer for this role is between \xc2\xa345,000 and \xc2\xa350,000 plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of any reactive troubleshooting alerts that arrive via the IT Service Management systems regarding outages, issues.
• Monitor system performance and capacity via relevant dashboards taking ownership of issues identified until resolution.
• Assist in the ongoing deployment and maintenance of on-premises data centres and cloud platforms.
• Complete proactive maintenance of systems during quiet periods to maximise uptime and limit any faults or issues.
• Support satellite sites ensuring they have the correct IT infrastructure to access relevant systems and databases.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL standards and procedures is maintained at all times.
• Update detailed technical, security and solution design documentation.

• Hold or be willing to pass within 1 year a Microsoft cloud associate level certification such as AZ-104, AZ,204, AZ-500.
• Extensive experience in managing and maintaining:

• Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Microsoft Windows and/or Linux.
• Active Directory & Group Policy
• Microsoft technology stack including: 365, SQL Server, Exchange, SCCM.
• Monitoring and alerting systems
• Backup systems & DR tooling.
• Firewalls, load balancers and WAFs.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as code is advantageous.

• IaC tooling such as Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Microsoft DevOps

Background in automation of technical functions by way scripting or IaC.
