Job Description
We are seeking an In-house Banking Solicitor in Manchester to join a high?performing national team. You'll advise on consumer banking operations, support strategic projects, and help manage regulatory and transactional risk. The In-house Banking Solicitor will be:
- Advising on consumer banking operational matters and regulatory compliance
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements, policies and procedures
- Supporting project workstreams (e.g. product changes, system implementations)
- Liaising with internal stakeholders (operations, risk, compliance, business units)
- Escalating and managing legal risk, ensuring controls and escalation paths
The In-house Banking Solicitor should be:
- A solicitor (or equivalent) with 1-3 PQE in banking/financial services
- Experience in consumer or retail banking operations, products or regulation
- Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
- Comfortable working cross?functionally and in project settings
- A proactive communicator with excellent stakeholder management
Salary circa 65k dependent on experience, plus benefits including bonus, 10% pension, income protection, life assurance, private health etc.
