London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

ABOUT AURIENS

Auriens Group is setting the gold standard in later living, no detail is left unconsidered, through exquisitely designed

properties, unparalleled services and an exceptional health and wellness offering. We are always looking for passionate, creative, and dedicated individuals to join our team. We seek people who think creatively, who value long term relationships and want to be part of building our exciting brand in luxury later living.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Auriens Chelsea is London's leading luxury later living community, offering 56 residences alongside world-class amenities including a cinema, library, restaurant, gym, pool, and landscaped terrace. Designed in collaboration with renowned studios such as Albion Nord, Richmond International, Goddard Littlefair, Brady Williams, and Andy Sturgeon, our spaces reflect elegance, sophistication, and comfort.

As we transition to a more sales-led model, we are seeking a talented in-house Interior Designer to join our team and play a central role in shaping the next chapter of Auriens Chelsea, with opportunities to influence future Auriens later living developments as the business grows.

We are looking for an experienced designer to elevate our current show apartments and bring a fresh, cohesive vision to our residences. You will be responsible for consolidating eleven existing show apartments into eight distinctive homes, each tailored to resonate with our discerning clientele, typically in their 70s and 80s.

This is a unique chance to work within an ambitious property team, collaborating closely with our leadership, sales, and operations teams, as well as directly with residents, to create interiors that feel aspirational yet deeply personal.

This role will require approximately 2.5 to 3 days per week, with 50% of the time based on-site at Auriens Chelsea. However, hours and days may vary depending on business needs. We are also open to this being either a contracted or freelance/retained role.

Key Responsibilities

Creation and curation of the current show apartments reimagined and reduced in number through redesign and consolidation, while upgrading the design and finishes to deliver distinctive, elegant homes that resonate with our target customers.

Work directly with prospects on apartment space planning redesigns to support their downsizing journey to Auriens, including how their furniture would work within their new apartment, and how the apartment layout and finishes can be personalised to their needs.

Manage the design and procurement process for FF&E: sourcing, specifying, and placing furniture, fittings, and accessories, and overseeing internal replacements.

Develop and deliver mood boards, palettes, furniture schemes, artwork, and styling.

Supporting existing residents with their interior design requirements

Balance aesthetics with practical needs such as ergonomic furniture, accessible layouts, and design sensitive to aging eyesight and memory care.

Reflect Chelsea's cultural heritage and Auriens' identity in all design decisions.

Engage with sales, concierge, housekeeping, and residents to ensure interiors meet lifestyle expectations.

Support the design of future Auriens developments as the business expands.

ABOUT YOU

A strong portfolio in luxury residential or hospitality design.

A refined, contemporary design aesthetic with an eye for understated elegance.

Experience designing for an older demographic is preferred but not essential.

Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple apartments simultaneously.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working cross-functionally.

Technical interior design skills are highly beneficial with particularly proficiency in producing 3D visuals to communicate design intent.

A passion for creating beautiful, functional homes that support wellbeing, comfort, and sophistication.
