Sacco Mann is currently recruiting an In-House IP Manager for our client based in the West Midlands. This is a permanent position designed for an experienced IP Manager with a focus on trade marks, branding on a global scale, patents, enforcement matters, licensing, IP management and commercial work.
The successful West Midlands based candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the company's global intellectual property portfolio, which includes trade marks, patents, copyright and more. They will provide strategic and sound IP advice on matters relating to brand licensing, co-branding, and distribution agreements across international markets, as well as oversee the enforcement of IP rights worldwide.
Day to day the successful candidate will utilise their existing managerial experience as they supervise a team. The In-House IP Manager will ensure high-quality legal support across the organisation, fostering professional development and ensuring legal governance aligns with business objectives. The role involves close collaboration with internal marketing and commercial teams, ensuring brand consistency and liaising regularly with external counsel, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to this role. As is the ability to work successfully to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The forward-thinking and team-oriented In-House IP Manager candidate will need to demonstrate proven leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and strong drafting and negotiation skills. A solid background in intellectual property law is essential and those with relevant and demonstrable experience in handling brand licensing and commercial contracts work will be considered advantageous.
