We are now looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and help drive the success of our projects.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated In-House Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost management and financial planning across our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring and pricing works, creating detailed project estimates, and ensuring budgetary control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Take-off Measurements: Accurately measure quantities from architectural and structural drawings.
Project Estimations: Prepare detailed cost estimates for new build projects, extensions, renovations, and conversions.
Cost Planning & Control: Manage budgets, forecast project costs, and monitor expenditure.
Procurement & Tendering: Obtain competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring value for money.
Contracts & Documentation: Assist with contract administration, valuations, and variations.
Risk Assessment: Identify financial risks and provide mitigation strategies.
Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, architects, and subcontractors.
Reporting: Provide regular cost reports and progress updates to senior management.
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of residential construction projects.
Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not essential with strong experience).
