Are you an Injection Mould Setter looking for a new challenge on a temporary basis?

Camdenboss are UK-based world-leading manufacturer of electromechanical components and enclosures. Offering an extensive range of cutting-edge and cost-effective components, housings and cabinet solutions and we are a looking for a Mould Setter to join our moulding facility based in Mildenhall

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

As an injection moulding Setter you will be responsible for setting and troubleshooting a range of mould tools to pre-defined approved processes whilst maintaining a safe, healthy, clean and tidy environment for yourself and others. You will be assisting (where required) with operating the injection moulding machines, ancillaries and automation, modifying processes, where necessary, in order to achieve maximum production rates and quality standards. You will also be preparing materials ready for production from a defined production schedule and be responsible for production quality with the mould shop You will be comfortable working in a team as you will liaise daily with the Process Engineer, Team Leader, Planning, Quality Department, other team members with regard to tool changes, settings, operating procedures and general running requirements and when necessary, attend meetings and communicate effectively with all departments You will be required to perform basic preventative maintenance of Injection moulding machines equipment and injection mould tooling (cleaning, lubricating etc) and will be required to change tooling inserts etc where required as a part of the daily/weekly schedule. There will be occasions where you could be requested perform other reasonable tasks that are required within the business by the Process Engineer, Team Leader, senior managers or directors

Qualifications



GCSE pass in maths - grade 4 or higher or equivalent

GCSE pass in English grade 4 or higher

Recognised official polymer training

Skills



Considerable experience with injection moulding/tool-setting Good experience of ancillaries such as material feed systems, masterbatch dosing, chillers, mould heaters, pick and place robotic systems, granulators, conveyors etc Engineering plastics raw material knowledge (handling, processing etc.) Basic mould tool knowledge and handling Experience in a manufacturing environment Communicates well at all levels Can articulate ideas in a thoughtful manner

Recognised time served Engineering / polymer related apprenticeship Previous toolroom machining experience Knowledge of mould tool design Good understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies and practices Previous experience of programming pick and place robots and sprue pickers Engineering maintenance experience Experience of setting electric Arburg moulding machines and ancillaries Metrology experience and the use of multiple measuring devices (Micrometres, vernier, CMM)
