We're looking for a skilled and proactive
Injection Moulding Machine Maintenance Engineer
to help keep our high-performance manufacturing operations running smoothly to minimise downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our injection moulding machines and associated equipment are operating at peak performance. Your day-to-day will include:
Performing
preventive and corrective maintenance
on injection moulding machines, robotics, and ancillary systems.
Diagnosing and repairing
mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults
.
Conducting
scheduled servicing and calibration
to meet safety and compliance standards.
Responding swiftly to breakdowns to
minimise downtime
and
ensure fast resolution
.
Collaborating with production teams to
enhance machine performance
and resolve recurring issues.
Supporting
equipment installation, commissioning, and decommissioning
.
Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, spare part usage and breakdown history.
Upholding
health, safety, and environmental regulations
.
Driving
continuous improvement initiatives
, including machinery upgrades/modifications.
Liaising with external suppliers and contractors for specialist support.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with hands-on experience and a problem-solving mindset. Ideally, you'll have:
3-5 years' experience in a
maintenance engineering role
within a manufacturing environment.
Proven background in
injection moulding or plastics manufacturing
.
Familiarity with
robotics and automations systems
.
Strong understanding of
mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
.
Ability to read and interpret
technical drawings, schematics and manuals
.
Experience with
robotics and automation systems
.
Solid skills in
fault finding, root cause analysis
and implementing long-term solutions
.
Excellent
communication and organisational abilities
.
Good IT and
accurate record-keeping
skills.
