Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) provides life-saving emergency relief and longer-term medical care to some of the most vulnerable and excluded communities around the world. As an independent medical humanitarian organisation, we deliver care based only on need, regardless of ethnic origin, gender, religion or political affiliation.



MSF relies on donations from private individuals and organisations for the majority of its income. This private funding gives MSF the freedom to respond where needs are greatest and to speak out publicly, free from any political interference.



MSF has around 63,000 local and international staff working in over 70 countries, in some of the most challenging places in the world. Our medical humanitarian projects are supported by offices in 44 countries, including the UK and Ireland. These teams recruit staff, organise fundraising, and raise awareness on the humanitarian crises our colleagues are witnessing, as well as running different and diverse support activities. MSF offices are spread across Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australasia.



At MSF UK/IE, we support MSF's operations by building relationships with our supporters, increasing awareness of our work, raising funds, providing specialist medical expertise, ensuring MSF staff have access to relevant higher education programmes, catalysing change on medical humanitarian issues, and recruiting field staff. MSF UK/IE personnel are dynamic, hard-working, enthusiastic and committed to MSF's values and aims. In addition MSF continues to build upon its presence in Ireland to become a widely recognised, accepted and respected humanitarian organisation among Irish audiences, and within the Irish humanitarian and political sector.

An opportunity to join our team leading on the transition towards place-based community innovation through a learning-by-doing approach.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Duration: 12 months FTC

Location: London - hybrid, 2 days in office (to include a Wednesday)

Salary: 52,866.48 per annum

Job Purpose:

The Innovation Knowledge Consolidation Advisor will devise the Inclusive Innovation strategy for consolidating knowledge and delivery of activities primarily relating to the PPS and KCP areas of work. They will contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of a diverse portfolio of learning and experimentation activities, including the development and continuous management of the Inclusive Innovation Playbook and associated innovation process platforms. The postholder will also lead dissemination and implementation activities relating to the Inclusive Innovation Playbook and associated programmes of work through existing MSF knowledge dissemination and learning platforms.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. information management, business administration, computer science, instructional design, learning and development) or equivalent experience. Highly organised with strong administrative skills and meticulous attention to detail. Prior knowledge or experience of co-developing learning materials with and for diverse audiences. Prior knowledge or experience of leading and supporting learning and dissemination in multi-cultural environments and international projects. Previous experience of working in an international NGO humanitarian organisation is advantageous. Excellent communication skills including writing skills. Proficiency in translating data into actionable insights and sharing results effectively. Proven effective management of suppliers and consultants. Exceptional negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex dynamics. Demonstrated ability to cooperate and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to transfer and translate knowledge effectively for a lay audience. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and under pressure. Fluent in English, written and verbal. Working knowledge of French is desirable. Demonstrated ability to deliver in an international and multi-cultural environment. Experience in the practical use of personal IT equipment and Microsoft Office 365 suite. The ability to effectively collaborate and communicate within a hybrid working environment utilising Teams, SharePoint, One Drive and Yammer. Working knowledge of web-based communication tools (including content management systems and mail marketing and automation platforms).
