Okeover Ward is a 16 Bedded Ward providing care to patients requiring Rehabilitation, Complex Discharge Planning or End of life Care.
We are excited to be able to offer the opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals.
Our Team consists of Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Discharge coordinator and Ward Clarke as well as Housekeeping Staff. The Team is Managed by the Ward Manager and Ward Sister and is overseen by our Matron. Every member of the team is valued for the work they do.

Main duties of the job
Main duties will include the day to day delivery of care guided and planned by Registered Nurses and other Registered Professionals such as Therapists and Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
You will be required to support patients to undertake all activities of daily living. These may include personal care, eating and drinking.
Many of our patients require rehabilitation and so you may need to assist with their therapy objectives and exercises.
You will be required to take and record clinical observations such as blood pressures etc and well as recording nutritional intake. You will need to have some understanding of normal parameters and be able to escalate concerns as required.
