Job Overview




We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Inpatient Physiotherapist within the Hinckley and Bosworth Therapy Team. You will be working as part of a skilled multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality rehabilitation to patients within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland following an acute admission.


It will be a great way to extend your clinical knowledge and skills as you will be working with patients with a wide variety of medical diagnoses including orthopaedic, neurological and respiratory conditions.


This is a full-time post based at Hinckley and Bosworth Community Hospital supporting patients across the two rehabilitation and medical step-down wards.


As well as providing physiotherapy you will have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision to members of the therapy team to support their development, maintain high standards and to ensure all treatment plans are supported by evidence-based practice.


We are looking for highly motivated, committed and caring Physiotherapist who must meet the following criteria:

Hold a full BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy Hold a HCPC registration PIN Have relevant experience working in healthcare as a qualified Physiotherapist Have fantastic leadership skills Have excellent communication skills Be able to provide flexibility to meet the needs of the service
The Trust is progressing towards a seven-day week working pattern; consequently, the post holder must be prepared to work the weekly contracted hours over a 7-day rotation in accordance with the needs of the service.

Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)



To be able to build a strong rapport with patients and work effectively to deliver high quality rehabilitation based around individualised goals. To be able to work as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team as well as independently where appropriate. To be able to communicate clearly and sensitively with patients, relatives and carers. To be a supportive member of the team and provide supervision and training to staff members as required. To remain up to date with current evidence and implement this service wide. Be able to carry out moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day.
