The role
We're looking for a proactive Inside Sales Executive to grow revenue across new and existing accounts in the industrial automation sector. You'll build a healthy pipeline, source parts quickly and competitively, and convert quotes into orders through consistent follow-up and relationship building.
What you'll do
?
Prospect & research
new business opportunities and build targeted outreach lists.
?
Maintain a clean CRM/database
of target and existing customers with clear activity notes.
?
Generate a consistent pipeline
of qualified enquiries and sales opportunities.
?
Source parts
rapidly from a wide supplier base and negotiate best-value pricing/lead times.
?
Prepare and send quotes
based on market intelligence and margin guidelines to win business.
?
Own daily quote follow-up
to maximise conversions and collect win/loss feedback.
?
Act as a single point of contact,
handling customer needs and keeping them updated end-to-end.
?
Collaborate internally,
especially with the Customer Experience team, to ensure smooth fulfilment.
?
Resolve issues quickly,
turning problems into positive customer outcomes.
?
Track performance
(quotes, conversions, margin, order value) and report against targets.
?
Identify growth actions
product gaps, pricing moves, campaign ideas.
?
Support social media activity
(light content/input to raise visibility of offers and wins).
?Proven success hitting pipeline, quote, and order targets in a fast-paced environment.
?Excellent phone and email communication; confident building rapport and handling objections.
?Solid CRM discipline (clean data, next actions, accurate forecasting).
?Commercial judgement balance win-rate, margin, and customer value.
?A team player's mindset with a customer-first attitude.

Hours & location
?Monday to Friday, 8:00-17:00 (40 hrs) with a 1-hour break (taken together or split). ?Workplace: Fenton, Stoke on Trent
