Job Description

As a Sales Team Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting, guiding, and inspiring a team of Sales Executives to deliver on our small business strategy. This is a hands-on role where you'll spend time coaching side by side, observing, and helping your team build meaningful relationships with customers.




You'll encourage your team to take a consultative approach understanding each customer's needs and ambitions to help them get the most value from our products and services. You'll also bring a strong commercial mindset, knowing what motivates our customers and how to empower your team to meet those needs in an effective, customer-focused way.







This is a hybrid role - three days per week in our Newcastle office

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver the small business segment strategy with a strong commercial mindset and clear focus on results.




- Build advocacy and trust by embedding a consultative, solutions-led sales approach within your team.




- Champion a customer success culture, ensuring every interaction adds value and strengthens relationships.




- Take ownership for achieving team revenue, product mix, and KPI targets -- driving accountability through clarity and support.




- Develop and empower your team through regular coaching, constructive feedback, and meaningful growth opportunities.




- Foster a sense of ownership and urgency, encouraging your team to take initiative and deliver on commitments.




- Understand what motivates each individual and tailor your approach to bring out their best.




- Take full responsibility for your team's product knowledge and capability development, identifying skills gaps and partnering with training teams to close them effectively.

- Ideally, you'll bring experience working with HR or Payroll solutions, and a genuine interest in helping businesses get the most from these tools.
