GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a motivated, honest, and determined individual to join our growing team as an Inspection Supervisor. After a 3-month training and development period, you will become a qualified member of our committed team.

We are part of a larger textile group with offices in the UK, China, and the US, servicing markets across the globe.

The Inspection Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that our customer order requirements are met efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service. This involves managing and updating the priority list, loading inspection frames for inspectors, and ensuring that quality standards are upheld. The Supervisor will oversee all inspection-related activities in the department, including planning, coordinating, and controlling each step of the inspection process to ensure that products meet company standards and are delivered on time and within budget.

In this role, the Supervisor will manage the workflow of the department by assigning tasks, supporting staff, solving problems, monitoring results, and reporting to management. They should contribute to departmental efficiency by reviewing and improving processes and setting targets for their teams.

The Supervisor will also maintain a working knowledge of relevant regulations and ensure compliance among their team. Additionally, they will compile data regarding their team's work and provide feedback about upcoming projects and changes to processes.

Supervisors are responsible for managing their team members, conducting training and briefings on company policies. They will monitor individual progress, support appraisals, and performance reviews.

Job Type: Full-time, Days (6 am - 2 pm)

Pay: 14.56 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 per week

Start Date: ASAP

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure all staff consistently meet Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.

Take responsibility for achieving KPI targets within the department.

Maintain the highest levels of housekeeping in all areas of the department.

Address and sort re-work rolls daily to meet customer needs or production requirements.

Provide ongoing feedback regarding poor production standards, particularly concerning processing and failure rate (FR) issues.

Provide regular feedback on staffing performance and assess production and staffing needs to meet customer demand.

Communicate and update the priority list consistently.

Ensure that inspectors have continuous work.

Oversee the inspection processes.

Strive to reduce expenses while increasing productivity across all product lines.

Implement all company procedures and policies.

Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management promptly.

Monitor productivity rates, standards, and quality control.

Train and coach Inspectors

Implement safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements.

Ensure effective collaboration with the opposite shift supervisor to ensure business needs are met.

Planning workloads, allocating tasks and monitoring progress against targets

Briefing their teams on new initiatives, changes to targets and company news

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

1. Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork

2. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise

3. Attention to detail and accuracy

4. Ability to follow instructions accurately and communicate

5. Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

6. FLT Counterbalance and Pedestrian Operated Truck desirable

7. Supervisory or Management experience is essential

8. Ability to manage employees.
