Final Inspector

Barnstaple

Standard Days Monday to Thursday 07:45-16:45 / Friday 07:45-12:00.

The successful person will be working within the Inspection department and working in a small team to ensure that the quality of the product meets and exceeds our customer expectations, working closely with production to ensure material and product orders are completed efficiently.

The employee will willingly undertake, upon request, any other task they are able to perform. Elements of the role may vary as new technology, procedures and equipment are introduced.

Key Responsibilities

Hardness testing of Aluminium Castings. Visual Inspection of castings. Carry out dimensional inspections, using vernier calliper and wall thickness gauges. Be able to read and understand specifications and standards. Understand and perform tasks to detailed work instructions and procedures. Liaise with Quality, engineering and production on problem solving. General duties within the Inspection dept Part Marking of castings using manual and automated equipment. Inputting data onto Inspection systems.

Person Specification

Previous experience within an inspection role would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given, Experience within a manufacturing background would be highly preferred however not essential. Excellent attendance and timekeeping. Be willing to learn new skills, use quality and inspections tools. Be willing to be trained to a hardness testing level 2.
