Installation & Commissioning Engineer

70,000 --90,000 (Made up of base salary + site uplift + travel allowance) + Benefits
The Company
Our client design bespoke electrical and control systems for power generation equipment working heavily with clients in the Oil & Gas sector. The business has a strong reputation and history for quality and service with decades of experience in the sector.
Due to growth in the business they are currently looking to recruit for an Installation & Commissioning Engineer with immediate effect. The opportunity offers a competitive starting with salary with very lucrative uplifts when working at client sites and offshore.
The Role
The role will see you carrying out the Installation & Commissioning of control systems at customer sites through the country and offshore.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Installation and commissioning of gas turbine control systems (Rockwell or Siemens)
• Carrying out factory and site acceptance tests for control systems
• Producing test specifications
• Produce Control Systems Design specifications
• Developing Control software for projects
• Specifying and sourcing electrical Hardware required for projects
• Programming PLC and SCADA systems (Rockwell or Siemens)
• Creating test documentation
• Support of control systems already installed at customer sites

The Candidate
To be successful in your application for this Installation & Commissioning Engineer role you will need:

• A HNC or above in an electrical, electronic or automation discipline
• Experience in programming either Rockwell or Siemens PLCs
• To have strong diagnosis and fault finding skills
• Happy to travel with the role and stay away at customer sites as required
• A UK driving license

• 40,000 - 50,000 basic salary
• The use of a pool van or hired company car when travelling to customer sites
• Healthy uplifts when travelling and staying away in the UK and offshore
• The opportunity to earn 75,000 - 90,000 total earnings
