Role Overview
The Operations Manager plays a
crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of logistical, installation, and project-related tasks.
This position requires a
HANDS-ON APPROACH
to managing goods, coordinating transport, supporting installations and projects, and liaising with contractors and fitters.
Key Responsibilities
Manage incoming goods (furniture) and general inventory (fixings, legs, components)
Arrange transport for deliveries and collections
Organize and oversee installations and liaise with customers
Undertaking small deliveries and installations as required
Chasing orders with manufacturers to ensure timely fulfilment
Meet fitters and contractors on-site to initiate projects
Obtain quotes for installation and subcontractor works
Assist in project execution, ensuring smooth workflow
Managing a portfolio of (multiple) projects of varying size and complexity
Conduct project reviews, snagging and sign-off
Other Desired Responsibilities
To be a H&S Champion, ensuring adherence to 4SQ H&S policy, use of PPE, access equipment management, tool safety, and on-site regulations and other H&S requirements
Conduct specific risk assessments for projects
Maintain accident records and ensure compliance with safety standards
Assist managing a small number of company vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance and compliance
Oversee waste management processes to align with environmental and regulatory standards
You may be requested to assist with / undertake other tasks on request from time-to-time
Role requirements Qualifications and Skills
A good range of practical skills relevant to installations and logistics
Basic understanding of materials, fixings, fittings, buildings, and services
A physical capability that's aligned with the demands of the role
Basic computer / digital skills
Driving Licence with maximum of 3 points allowed
Willing for DBSe checks
Willingness to work with the team to help deliver projects on time and within budget

Willing to learn
Basic knowledge of interior construction, regulations, guidelines, and standards
Existing forklift experience or willing to undertake provided training
Salary and Benefits
Starting Pay: Circa 38,000 - 42,000 (subject to ability and experience) with a review after 6 months
Normal Hours. 07:30 - 16:30 with 30 minutes lunch although working hours may vary from time to time according to specific demand
Annual Leave: 25 Days + Bank Holidays pa. (runs to 31st March each year) calculated proportionally in first year. Note: No holidays to be taken during school holiday periods
Sick Pay. 5 working days sick pay at full pay after 3 months continuous employment, calculated proportionally
All reasonable business expenses covered
Company-provided van (mid/small size) including fuel / electric charging for commuting and business use only
Corporate workwear, work technology and tool kit supplied (or use your own based on free replacement if preferred)
Possible future bonus / profit-sharing scheme (discretionary / following probation period)

You will be based at our office / warehouse in WD18 9RF unless travelling or attending a client's premises
