to support the installation, assembly, and commissioning of conveyor systems and associated equipment at customer sites across the UK.
This role requires strong mechanical fitting ability, with an
electrical background considered highly advantageous
to support wiring, testing, and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
Install and assemble conveyor systems, guards, platforms, and associated mechanical equipment in line with engineering drawings.
Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment, and final system set-up.
Assist with electrical installation tasks, including basic wiring, cable routing, and electrical component mounting (training provided if required).
Work to approved RAMS and ensure compliance with all site health & safety requirements.
Complete system start-up checks and assist with customer handover documentation.
Provide support for maintenance, service work, and system upgrades as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Proven hands-on experience installing mechanical systems, ideally conveyors or automated equipment.
Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
Full UK driving licence.
Advantageous:
Electrical experience or qualification (e.g. 17th/18th Edition, Electrical NVQ, or industrial wiring experience)
CSCS/ECS card, IPAF, and/or forklift licence
Experience in logistics automation, food manufacturing, or industrial machinery installation
