About the Role:
To be the first line of support and primary point of contact for the installation, maintenance, fault finding, record keeping, and monitoring of all audio visual control systems, including lighting, audio, video, special effects, networking, electronics, and other associated equipment.
Ensuring that all audio visual elements are installed and maintained in compliance with health and safety and legal requirements, along with industry best practice at all times. To maintain (and create where necessary) detailed system design schematics, drawings, change logs, and other associated documentation to facilitate ease of fault finding and system maintenance.
The Role:
Minimum of 2 years experience installing and servicing audio visual hardware
Experience terminating audio, video and CAT 5/6 cabling
Excellent soldering skills
Experience installing and setting up projectors and projector screens
Knowledge of audio and HDMI video signals
Experience with power tools, basic wood working and building skills, for example the ability to fix wall anchors into different materials such as masonry and dry lining
A full UK Driving licence
Certification or experience of working at heights with scaffold towers and ladders
Rack building and system commissioning.
Documentation, system handover, customer training.
Technical support and remote assistance.
Ability to read and translate schematics and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
Good working knowledge of mechanical fixing techniques
The Successful Applicant:
Ability to manage installations to completion on time and to required quality levels.
Soldering, crimping and terminating skills.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and delegation skills with junior AV technicians.
Experience with a variety of AV equipment
Willing to travel to customer sites
Working from drawings, site plans and schematics
Excellent communication skills
