Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Installations Manager

to oversee the successful delivery of projects from initial enquiry through to completion. At Hertfordshire Drives and Landscapes Ltd. we are a market leader in delivering design lead one off garden builds, all the builds we undertake have quality and customer satisfaction as the core focus and as a result keeping an extremely high standard of workmanship across the board is paramount. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident managing site teams, and can balance the operational and client-facing demands of the position.

Key Responsibilities



Performance & Delivery



Follow up on project leads, conduct site visits, and produce detailed cost estimates. Prepare and submit fully costed quotations, following up with clients as needed. Coordinate and plan projects, including scheduling materials, machinery, and labour. Supervise on-site teams, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on schedule. Maintain clear communication with clients regarding progress, outstanding items, and additional works.

Management & Relationships



Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams and external partners. Lead and motivate staff through regular communication, performance monitoring, and hands-on support. Oversee staff timekeeping, attendance, and HR matters, escalating issues where necessary.

Client Care



Represent the company with professionalism and positivity. Understand client requirements and work closely to meet and exceed expectations.

Health & Safety



Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety legislation and company policies. Oversee the use of RAMS and COSHH, complete accident/incident reports, and maintain safe work environments. Manage the condition and security of vehicles, tools, and machinery.

Financial Management



Estimate projects within budget and monitor financial performance throughout delivery. Ensure timely payments from clients and manage cost-saving opportunities across the business.

What We're Looking For



Proven experience as an Installations/Contracts Manager in landscaping or a similar environment. Strong working knowledge of general landscape practices, including Porcelain and Millboard composite decking. Sound understanding of Health & Safety and related documentation (RAMS, COSHH). Confident managing projects, people, and client relationships. Computer literate - proficient in MS Word, Excel, and general admin systems. Full, clean UK driving licence.

Pay: 45,000.00-52,000.00 per year
