Cleveland Clinic London is organised into eight clinical institutes, each led by a Clinical Institute Chair responsible for setting the clinical strategy for the institute and assuring the services within their remit, in alignment to the hospital's strategy.

These institutes include:Neurological Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Digestive Disease Integrated Surgical Medical Specialties Primary Care Integrated Hospital Care Diagnostic Services Institute comprising Imaging Services and Pathology & Lab services.

What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London is seeking an Institute Operations Manager to support our growing Rehabilitation Service, a key part of the Neurosciences Institute. This service, led by top UK rehabilitation consultants, delivers specialist care for complex conditions including stroke, brain injury, polytrauma, spinal cord injury, rehabilitation after amputation, neurodegenerative and neuromuscular disorders, and care for unconscious and minimally conscious states.
The Institute Operations Manager will work in partnership with the consultant Clinical Lead for Rehabilitation to set the operational governance for the service, to ensure performance across quality, financial, and strategic goals. Acting as the key point of contact for consultants, clinical teams (including therapies and nursing), and administrative functions (Finance, IT, HR, Access), you will play a vital role in day-to-day operations and future service development.
You'll support the Clinical Lead for Rehabilitation, working with the Business Development & Commercial teams, in engaging with potential referrers, identifying and executing on opportunities to grow the business. The role will also be involved in developing and implementing service improvement and supporting specific projects e.g. external accreditations.

What will your duties include?People management: Collaborate with different professional teams to ensure high-quality and safe service delivery. Depending on experience, Institute Operations Managers may take on formal line management responsibilities or these may sit with other individuals. Proactive issue resolution: responsible for proactively identifying and resolving issues which may impact services delivered within their Institutes at any Cleveland Clinic London facility, including outpatient, inpatient, or administrative services. Scheduling: Ensure efficiency and productivity in outpatient, day case and inpatient activity, working closely with consultants, medical secretaries, Global Patient Services, and patient access teams. Finance: Monitor charges to ensure patients are billed appropriately and in good time, working with clinical teams to ensure these are documented appropriately and with the Finance and Commercial teams to resolve pricing queries. Engagement: Ensure the Institute has good communication and engagement with its consultant body. May support internal or external referrer engagement events or collateral development. Referrer engagement: Work other teams to identify potential referrers and engage with them in an appropriate way on an ongoing basis. Performance: Support Institute monthly performance reporting on quality, activity, and finance metrics. Quality and Safety: will work closely with Nursing leads and Consultants and head of therapies to ensure safe and caring services are delivered to a high quality. Will work with the Safety, Quality and Patient Experience teams to investigate and respond to concerns or complaints and monitor outcomes. Will be responsible for working with teams involved in institute services to ensure key safety and compliance standards are met. Implements and manages performance and process improvement initiatives, productivity benchmarks and standards, approved budget and financial management activities. Service Improvement: Drive improvements for the Institute, including quality and efficiency improvement and cost savings. Strategy: will contribute, under the direction of Institute Chair and the Divisional Institute Manager, and in collaboration with Strategy and Finance teams, to defining, communicating, and operationalising aspects of Institute and organizational strategy including budget setting, business development initiatives, workforce and capacity planning, external partnerships, and education and research priorities. Cross institute responsibilities: Co-ordinating cross-Institute projects, services, or resource such as fellow rota management, registries and PROMs, complex surgical scheduling. Other duties as assigned.

What we need from you?Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required, or experience will offset the degree Considerable years of progressively responsible related work experience (essential). Experience in acute care setting of National Health Service and/or private healthcare market is required (essential). Experience in operational management within a healthcare organization (essential). Experience in delivering commercial and financial objectives, including developing business cases, supporting with budget, commercial analysis (desirable). Experience delivering service-focused objectives, including service improvement and customer service development (desirable).
